Thanksgiving

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year. Emma got to run around from house to house, and we had a million trick-or-treaters. Nan came walking around with us, and Poppy held down the fort and gave out candy. I think my favorite move of Emma's was when she looked at the candy bar which she had been given at one house and tried to give it back and take off with their whole stash. Nice try, Emma!

Emma and Fife

Well, I just realized after Alex posted the pumpkin patch photos that I haven't posted for a while. I took some photos last week of my first baby, Fife, with miss Emma. She really loves that cat. Although he sometimes gets sick of her, he usually deals fairly well. I included one bonus picture to show how long her hair is getting!! And if you wonder what they are both looking down at in the one picture......I have no idea.

Pumpkin Patch

We went pumpkin pickin' today. Emma had so many pumpkins to choose from, she just couldn't make up her mind.




She ultimately had to enlist a canine friend for some advice...



Finally she just gave up and went over to listen to some tunes.



All in all, we made out with a couple pumpkins, chocolate chip cookies for the little peanut, and a tooth-ache for Daddy from the hardest caramel apple ever made.

We all scream for ice cream!

Emma, we discovered, has quite a sweet tooth. She has been presented with an ice cream treat for desert a few times after meals in the past few weeks, and continually seems to take it to a new level. This week, we caught her running around the house with the little cone. Several times, I held my breath, as she went crashing to the ground with her little cone, but each time she managed to protect it from having any harm come its way.



Check her out with her new favorite dessert, ICE CREAM!!!

New House

We have been in the new house for about a month now, and it is time to show some pictures...

I'm walking on sunshine

Yes, here are some pictures of Emma, the walker. First she tried her land legs out on the grass in the backyard.






Later, she showed off her new skills inside the house.





She is so fast now, that I can only seem to get pictures of her back...

Emma Steps

Although we only have video documentation of the event, it has indeed happened. Emma has taken her first few steps. Hopefully we can capture the event in the next few days, but in any case...Yeah Emma!

Moving time!

The clan has finally settled into their new home. Emma is having a blast exploring all the new and uncharted territory. She seems to have taken a liking to Daddy's new den...Do you think she is camera shy?






Little girl has also supposedly started walking on her own this week, according to Mommy. She has shown some interest in the idea of late, but this has yet to be documented. Stay tuned for some photos of the event in the days to come.

Also, she has taken a liking to the cupboards. Look at Emma at work, organizing them nicely...




We will have some pics of the new house, once things get a little more organized around here. We just need to let Emma loose for a couple hours to really get things "straightned out."

13 months

Our time in Philly has nearly come to an end. Emma is now 13 months, and cruising like a champ.

We are all getting a little antsy for the move back home.

Emma's First Birthday

Today is the big day. Emma recieved many new toys, and displayed her usual enthusiasm in playing with them all.



But, nothing quite compared to the reponse evoked by the BALLOONS.





If you think this looks like fun, just wait until you see her attack the birthday cake.





And finally, pizza for dessert.



All in all, it was a great day. Happy Birthday, Emma.
